Typical Installations

"Behind the Meter" - supplying energy to a specific building.

A HPE CIT will do the following :

  • convert the 'raw' electricity from the generating devices ( typically solar panels and wind turbines )
  • manage the charging of the storage batteries ( ensuring optimal battery life )
  • manage supplying the load with power from all the sources
  • if necessary, buy electricity from the grid, managing all resources so the power is purchased at the least expensive time of day
  • ensure that the load sees no blackouts, brownouts, spikes or transients

Grid Supply from ( typically ) Rooftop PV panels

Particularly in Ontario, under the Green Energy Act and the Feed In Tarrif, the need for high capacity inverters is paramount.

HPE CIT's will :

  • replace traditional low-efficiency 'inverters'
  • capture about 30% extra electricity from any standard PV array
  • offer much higher reliability and MTBF
  • generate much higher return on investment over the 40-year expected lifetime of a well-build solar array
